A Hotel have completed the elegant interior architecture of ‘hotel saint-marc’.
the five-storey building – dating back to 1791 – was occupied by a
range of programs. from being once the home of a duke of choiseul to the
headquarters of the historical newspaper ‘le national’. prior to the
hotel it hosted the italian restaurant le poccardi and eventually taken
over by an office building.
the interior design and restoration of hotel saint-marc took two years. the milan-based studio
injects old-age glamor, luxurious materials and reintroduces light into
the parisian building. as well as preserving the heritage of the
historical site, a relationship between past and present co-exists
through the use of artful objects combined with recovered and bespoke
pieces. offering 25 rooms that are envisioned as private apartments, an
art deco aesthetic is achieved through six different scenarios; colors
and fabrics, ranging from yellow mustard, to red burgundy, green forest
and blue sky become the backdrop to art and decorative objects
fabricated by artisans in murano.
